CHAMELEON ?

WORLDS APART, I LIKE'EM BOTH THOUGH.

For the average young Somali, adaptation is second nature. You visit any Somali bazaar and it becomes apparent that Somalis are mosaic of all relevant concepts, least monolithic ,excluding matters of religion and culture .Mannerism , and style in clothing, are most appropriate examples. You are bound to come across men of all wears and dresses, women that rock the LE NUDE LOOK to some that are veiled-down to their toes. Mannerism a la' style, some exhibit the etiquettes of a well liked French writer, others are as unpolished as a redneck in the Mississippi delta, or a nomad in Buuryo Qab. My intension is not to judge, nor to conclude, however it begs the question why are we most adaptable to our environment ?

I wouldn't say somalis are the only people that can adapt to their environment. Most of the people assimilate inorder to be accepted. Though some cultures prevail in actually maintaining and keeping to their cultures it is getting harder as the generations are born outside of their homeland. Eventually we will all be watered down versions of our cultures.
